The concept was creating a housing community for Thessaloniki while protecting the main aspects of the city or reflecting the characteristics of the city. To maximize the social interaction between the elements of the site, housing owner, and the city for the sake of protecting essentials of Thessaloniki’s spirit overall location of buildings located at the side or on top of street axles.

This idea led to placing one of the buildings on-site with a 45-degree angle to reinforce the social effect for letting Thessaloniki people use the site as a communal place, but also for changing the city’s rhythm in a good way.

One of the main elements was referred to in the project was the “balcony” element in Thessaloniki. The facade looking at the site preserves more of the balcony effect on the other hand the facade which interacts with the city directly preserves more of a privacy element.
